How We Work

The idea is for Faraway Weddings to give you all the information to help you make the right choices for your wedding, and to remain in constant contact throughout the entire planning process from concept to realisation. So, upon your initial enquiry, you’ll receive a PDF document with a complete breakdown of what's included in the wedding experience that you've selected, as well as a comprehensive list of available add-on options to help make your wedding unique and special to you.

From that moment onwards, you will be introduced to your personal wedding planner, either Ann or Lorraine, who will be your direct point of contact right up to the wedding day. They will happily answer all of your questions, enquiries and generally help you in any way they can.

A 10,000 baht deposit (non-refundable), secures the date of your choice and confirms Faraway's services, and then the actual planning can begin. You’ll then receive more comprehensive information about the choices available in relation to the flowers, vows, menus and all the other details, small and large which will come together to create a wedding day which is totally unique to you.

By having access to the client’s tools section of the website all of your relevant choices and requests will be consolidated and your individual wedding planner produced. This completed planner is usually sent to you a few weeks before the wedding date.

A 50% payment of the total quoted is payable 30 days before the date of the wedding.

Based on your arrival dates on Samui, an appointment will be made for a pre-meeting at our offices. This will give you an opportunity to finally meet your planner face to face as well as other members of the Faraway Team.

They will then discuss and confirm all the final details of the wedding with you and go through the order of service in more detail.

The final balance is also payable at the pre-meeting.

On the day of the wedding, the entire team will be there to help and make sure that everything goes as planned. Your wedding planner will meet you at your hotel and go with you to the venue to ensure every detail is taken care of. The rest of the team will be there early to complete the set up.

Throughout the entire planning process your planner will share all correspondence with the other planner as well as Richard, Darren and Tam so that they all know as much as she does in the run up to your wedding.

Working in this way ensures that every member of the team knows what should be happening and any queries can be resolved well in advance of the actual wedding day. It also means that in the event of the planner being unavailable on the day you can still relax and enjoy your day safe in the knowledge that everything is being taken care of.
